A social network

A social network is a social structure made up of individuals (or organizations) called "nodes", which are tied (connected) by one or more specific types ofinterdependency, such as friendship, kinship, common interest, financial exchange, dislike, sexual relationships, or relationships of beliefs, knowledge or prestige.

-Increased harassment and threats in social networks, but not reported: Year after year the number of children with different types of harassment, threats andeven sexual crimes through social networks. However, the number of complaints that aremade not grow the same way.

lthough the data in this report relate to minors, increased harassment in social networksalso occurs among adults in social networks. Threats, hate speech toward oldercouples, friends or former colleagues, inappropriate picture upload ... can constitute crimes against privacy, as well as crimes of threats and coercion, for which you can getto ask even imprisonment. Something that bullies often do not know, but the courts are beginning to be common this type of claim

NEWS: 70,000-Member International Pedophile Ring Busted

The world´s largest ( we certainly hope ) pedophile ring was busted Europol this week, which snared some 70.000 member in what they´re calling " Operation Rescue." Six hundred anda seventy suspencts have been arrested, ingluding teachers, police officers, and even scout leaders, but investigations are continuing in some countries. Here in the United States there have already been five arrests and four convictions, and more leads are being followed.

Basically,"Operatio Rescue" invilved police infiltrating a website based in the Nertherlands that was devoted to a " discussion-only" forum where people could " share their sexual interest in young boys withpout committing any speficic offenses." But ot really served as a meet-up where members could later exchange illegal images or detalis of past assaults.

The remaining tens of thousands of registred members of the site aren´t off the hook, though. "Those who have been members of the site can expect a knock on the door in the very near future," said Peter Dacies of Britain´s Child Exploitation and Online Protection Center.

Believe in the love of the internet?

With the advancement of technology in recent decades, and no wonder it is so easy as click, buy the CD you want, pay the light or looking for work, all without waiting in long queues, and communicate with family and friends who live thousands of miles from us.

Thanks to the Internet, all this is incredibly simplified. Now sit we close the gap. This emerged areas of personal interaction as chat rooms and forums, where the promise of finding the "love of your life with just one click is supposedly just around the corner. With this, the "love online"appeared immediately as a new interpersonal phenomenon.

But can be as real as the classic love? For psychologists is more illusion than anything else, it is a construct of our minds. In fact, many consider the Internet becomes, for some, a filter that can put aside all inhibitions and dissatisfactions of daily life to become what you wanted. For a teenager, lonely and frustrated, will soon be over, a lot of money and be confident.

Without bringing people and demonstrating personal affection, a relationship is not cultivated and not go to resemble the imaginary friend of our brother or nephew. The Internet should be a vehicle between the people, therefore, if you've met someone in this way, we need to meet him in person. This always taking all necessary precautions, since not really know the person. Frequenting crowded places and always with the ideal.

Beware of scams and people who use this tool to commit all kinds of aggression, therefore, avoid visiting pages easy and frivolous entertainment, and usually avoid seeking friendships in this way.
